Au pair
An au pair is a young woman, between the age of 21 to 30 years, who is  willing to live with a foreign family for the purpose of cultural exchange.
 This will give her the opportunity to see different places and expand her horizon by seeing different cultures. She can also travel and see the other parts of the country to be more acquainted with their culture and heritage. As a part of the cultural exchange she will have the chance to learn basic language course to further enhance her understanding of this foreign culture.


As an au pair you will be given the opportunity to live with a host family  in an EU country for a period of 1 to 2 years. The host family will provide you the primary needs such as room, lodging and pocket money depending on the law of the host country. In return she is expected to take care of their child/children and do light household chores.
 


Au pairs work for no more than 30 hours a week, and no more than five days a week. Babysitting may be restricted to three evenings a week, which is included in the 30hours a week.


She is entitled to two days off per week, and this should at least be once a month on a weekend. Her duties and working hours will vary depending on the ages of the children and the family’s needs.



Screening and Selection

Family Au Pair accepts only female au pairs who where born in the Philippines.


• You must be single and not have a child.


• You should be at least 21 to 28 years of age.


• You have to be in good health.

Contract

The host family and the au pair must come into an agreement as what is expected of her. Only then will the host family ask the au pair to sign a contract that includes her work schedule.

 

Contract Termination

The au pair’s contract remains valid for the whole period of her stay as a host family’s au pair. However, under certain circumstances, the contract may be terminated before it expires.
